Matthew Houlden

Matthew Houlden is a Partner at Lazard CL, having joined from Lazard's Private Capital Advisory group in London in November 2026, which he joined in 2018 to focus on European secondary liquidity solutions. Matthew is CFA qualified and, in 2021 & 2022 respectively, was named by various industry publications as one of the “Next Generation Leaders of Secondaries” and “Most Influential Experts in Fund Financing.”

Prior to joining Lazard he was at Lloyds Bank, where he was previously part of their private markets fund financing practice. Matthew holds a BA in Economics from Exeter University.
